If you aspire to become a professional performer in classical music and jazz, whether as an instrumentalist- singer, a soloist, or a musician or conductor in diverse ensembles, the Performing Arts study programme is the ideal choice for you. Here, you will not only enhance your performance skills but also delve into the history and theory of music, acquire pedagogical knowledge, learn to conduct music research, and apply your knowledge to the development and implementation of cultural policy. VMU Music Academy has over 100 professional teachers – prominent Kaunas and Lithuanian artists – who will open up a wider window to the world of music. And as we are located next to the Aleksotas Observation Deck, these windows offer breathtaking views of Kaunas. The knowledge, skills, and professional experience acquired during your studies will provide you with the opportunity to work in cultural and educational institutions, as well as musical collectives, develop your own creative and concert activities, and pursue further education in second-cycle studies. If you canʼt imagine your life without music and the stage, and if you want to make Lithuanian and global music more professional and attractive – we are looking forward to welcoming you at the Music Academy! Specialisations: Accordion, Choir conducting, Jazz, Piano, String Instruments, Vocal, Wind and Percussion Instruments.
