This multidisciplinary approach recognizes the ever-increasing complexity of engineering systems, and the societal need for skilled engineers. The MRE program addresses the need for a truly integrated approach to mechatronics and robotics across four years of study. A sequence of experiential project-based design courses will progressively build the students’ foundational knowledge and culminate in a capstone design project. In the first three years of study (with the first year being direct-entry from high-school), students take common core courses. In year three, they can select two optional core courses from four choices in electrical, computer or mechanical engineering. In their final year, students will take three free technical electives and five primary technical electives from a list of courses centered around automation, robotics, biomedical and intelligent systems. This will give them the opportunity to tailor the curriculum to their own interests. Mechatronics Robotics Engineering, B.A.Sc. Is it accredited?
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.): Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), the accreditation board of Engineers Canada. The CEAB accredits UNDERGRADUATE (bachelor) engineering programmes only — in Engineers Canada's own words, “Individuals, courses, and institutions are not accredited”. There is therefore no such thing as an accredited master's or PhD in engineering in Canada: a taught MEng or MASc at any of these 26 universities carries no CEAB accreditation of its own, however good the…
