About this programme
Global challenges such as fighting disease, creating clean energy, and protecting the planet need more than science. They need people who combine financial insight with strategic thinking to turn research into real solutions.

The world doesn’t just need great scientists; it needs scientists who make sure breakthroughs reach those who need them. Science and Financial Management is a program that integrates science with accounting and finance. You’ll choose a science specialization in Biotechnology, Earth and Water Science, or Physics of Systems and Energy while working toward a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. With 16 months of paid co-op experience throughout the program, you’ll turn classroom learning into real impact by working in research labs and/or helping innovative organizations make financial decisions. You’ll graduate with a powerful mix of skills that will help you lead change and solve problems that matter. Note: This program was formerly Biotechnology/Chartered Professional Accountancy. You'll need to complete all required courses for one of the accounting or finance specializations. The pathway you choose will determine the SAF specializations they are eligible for. When you choose a science specialization, your first-year courses will remain the same, other than the introductory Biology, Physics, or Earth Sciences course taken between January and April.
