Opportunity for Direct-from-Bachelor PhD Entry Exceptional applicants may be considered for direct entry into our PhD program, offering the opportunity to begin doctoral studies directly after completing an undergraduate degree, based on academic preparation and research experience. Pathways Course-Based (MEng) The Master of Engineering (MEng) is a course-based program designed to support professional development through skill-building in advanced engineering topics. As a coursework-focused degree, the MEng does not require a research thesis and is therefore well-suited to students pursuing careers in industry, government or professional practice. Students may also choose to complement their coursework with a research project or directed study, deepening expertise in a specialized technical area of interest.
