Multilingualism and Digital Technologies is an interdisciplinary bachelorʼs programme that combines English and German with applied informatics to prepare you for multilingual work in a digital world. No prior knowledge of German is required : you can start German from scratch and build your skills step by step during the programme. You will strengthen advanced multilingual communication and intercultural competence while learning how digital systems are built and managed – from data and search-engine projects to multilingual content management, localization/internationalization, and digital content creation. The programme helps you understand the connections between the humanities and informatics and apply this knowledge to solve complex problems, generate original ideas, and propose innovative solutions. Upon graduation, you will be able to communicate fluently in English (C1–C2) and German (B2) across academic, professional, and intercultural contexts. You will also be able to create and manage multilingual digital content and data, use modern IT and AI-based tools, and work ethically and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams – mediating between diverse cultural perspectives and professional (including technical) groups.
