Entry requirements
A Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen of 180 credits, with a major in the biological area (or the equivalent). The biological area can be defined as e.g. Ecology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology or Bioinformatics. A further requirement is proof of skills in English equivalent of studies at upper secondary level in Sweden, known as the Swedish course English 6 or English level 2. This is normally demonstrated by means of an internationally recognized language test, e.g. IELTS or TOEFL. · English: IELTS 6.5 (no band below 5.5) · English test waiver: Not published by the university. universityadmissions.se sets the English requirement and recognises exemptions through prior upper-secondary or university study conducted in English; eligibility is decided there, not by the university. Confirm before assuming a waiver. · Backlogs accepted: Not published. · Application fee: 900 SEK, paid to University Admissions (universityadmissions.se), not to the university. Non-refundable. EU/EEA and Swiss citizens are exempt. · Deposit: No deposit as such. The FIRST TUITION INSTALMENT of 77,500 SEK is payable before enrolment, and the university states the residence-permit application through the Swedish Migration Agency can only be made once it is paid.
