About this programme
Environmental Engineering focuses on addressing major civilizational challenges such as climate threats, sustainable resource management including energy and water, depletion of non-renewable resources, and the reduction of environmental pollution. These challenges require innovative engineering solutions, for example technologies supporting the development of sustainable cities and their resilience to crises and threats (smart cities, urban resilience) and ensuring the proper functionality of buildings and network infrastructure (smart buildings and smart grids).
