About this programme
Described as "the only one of its kind in Scotland," this four-year full-time degree at the Paisley campus covers policing, prisons and punishment, crime investigation, youth and gang violence, forensics, and victimology, with mock children's hearings, mock criminal trials, and poster presentation exhibitions as experiential learning. After Year 2 students may specialise into a Criminal Justice (Policing) bracketed award, and the course features guest lectures and field trips to Police Scotland, the Scottish Prison Service, and Victim Support Scotland, with study-abroad options and graduates entering police, prison, and third-sector agencies.
