Entry requirements
A completed bachelor's degree or equivalent; programme-specific requirements are set by Chapman. · English: IELTS 6.5 · English test waiver: NO - AND THIS IS THE DECIDING FACT FOR AN INDIAN APPLICANT AT FIU. FIU exempts applicants who earned their degree in 54 named countries. INDIA IS NOT ONE OF THEM, and neither is Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka or Nepal. The list runs alphabetically from Guyana straight to Ireland. It is not a list that excludes developing countries in general - Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe are all on it. South Asia specifically is not. EVERY INDIAN APPLICANT MUST SIT AN ENGLISH TEST for FIU Chapman, however many years they were taught in English. This is the same trap as VAMK in the Finland dossiers, where the University of Vaasa accepted an Indian English-medium degree and VAMK did not. Establish it in the first conversation, because it adds a test booking and a four to six week lead time to the application. · Application fee: 30 · Deposit: USD 200
