Admissions checklist
Entry requirements
Standard VT undergraduate admission requirements (accredited HS diploma; 3 units math through Algebra II; 2 units lab science; ~B+/88% GPA expected) EXCEPT minimum English test score, tiered by track length (1/2/3 semester — see IELTS columns). Transfer students not eligible. This is the ENTRY bar to JOIN the pathway only — see Remarks for the separate GPA-based PROGRESSION bar to advance into the VT degree. · English: IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.5) · English test waiver: PROGRESSION requirement (distinct from entry bar): 2.5+ GPA in VT credit coursework (non-Engineering AVT threshold) plus 70% (2.0 GPA) minimum in 'English for Academic Purposes' and 'University Success Seminar' courses; no separate exit TOEFL/IELTS required. 'Guaranteed entry' is conditional on meeting these bars, not automatic. NON-PROGRESSION OUTCOME (disclosed): one repeat semester allowed; if repeat also fails, student is dismissed from AdvantageVT and the university, with LCI-assisted transfer-out to another institution (AVT credits generally transferable to most universities, not guaranteed for any specific receiving institution). Shared LCI pathway page lists all 5 destination colleges; this row = Liberal Arts and Human Sciences destination selected at application. · Backlogs accepted: $21,000/semester (pathway fee only; $22,971 with mandatory fees) · Application fee: $75 (one-time · Deposit: nonrefundable)
