International Materials Science and Engineering

IMSE is one of Tohoku University's Frontier Global Leader (FGL) programs, aimed at global-minded international students pursuing international leadership roles through materials science and engineering. All lectures can be taken in English, and the master's program connects directly into the doctoral program, giving students the opportunity to pursue cutting-edge research across both degrees.

Basic academic skills needed to learn engineering, logical thinking ability to solve problems, and linguistic proficiency to adapt to a global educational/research environment; screened via entrance examination
