Master of Artificial Intelligence

The Master of Artificial Intelligence (MAI), from the Faculty of Engineering, was the first dedicated AI Master's in New Zealand and is ranked in the global top 50 for the subject. It combines coursework spanning generative AI, big data and AI ethics with a supervised AI research project, and can be paired with electives in data science, software engineering or electronics. Full-time study takes three trimesters, about 12 months.
